Birch Tree Details

White birch trees are so pretty.  I think they are the perfect balance of rustic & elegant.  For a long time {before we were even engaged} I loved the birch bark centerpieces small stump & thought we might use something like those for our centerpieces. I eventually decided on milk glass vases, but I still like the idea of adding birch bark somewhere.  How cute is that sign?

How weird, I just read this on Wikipedia about the movie Dancer in the Dark:

"Björk lies down on a stack of birch logs during the "Scatterheart" sequence. In Icelandic and Swedish, "Björk" means "birch". Lars von Trier thought it would be fun to put it in the film."
