Ann & Jack are getting married this October in Acadia National Park, quite possibly one of the most beautiful locations in Maine. Ann & I met years ago back in my days of event planning for a local non-profit. Like me, she had taken classes at our local community print shop, & originally wanted to print her own invitations. However, she decided to hand over the printing work to me, while she & Jack worked on the design, specificaly a topographic map of Mount Desert Island, where Acadia is located.
The map was letterpress printed in a blind deboss {no ink} while the text was printed in a deep red ink. The couple wanted the design to be unique in size, something that would stick out amongst the daily mail, so we decided on a 7 x 7" square design. We also used a thick 140 lb. 100% cotton paper to get an even deeper impression for the map. Ann & Jack also designed a coordinating evelope liner with a detail of the tophographic map. The liner was flat printed in a coordinating red ink, then cut & lined by hand by me.

These are gorgeous Sarah! Some of my favorites ever. Love the abstraction and simplicity and always a sucker for blind debossing!
