Bri and Grant were married this past August at her family home on the ocean in Warwick, Rhode Island. I featured their save the date earlier this year, which gave a preview of the wedding location. For the invitation suite we went all-out vintage romance working with Grace Edmands to calligraph the invitation text, as well as a few words thoughtout the suite.
We really wanted the suite to feel like the pieces were collected over time, then hidden in a little box in the attic to be discovered and treasured years later. The suite included the invitation, featuring a beautiful lace pattern, a reply postcard featuring a vintage photo of Cardiff-by-the-Sea, where Bri and Grant met, complete with a vintage California postage stamp, a folded information card that included the original illustration from the save the date, all bound together with a pink paper band and custom wax seal, slipped inside a lined kraft envelope, and mailed with a collection of vintage stamps.
Aren't the envelopes beautiful? Something about that combination of kraft paper, white ink, Grace's calligraphy, and vintage stamps. It does not get much better. Want to see more? Okay!
Bri decided on one stamp from Rhode Island, her homestate, and one from Michigan, Grant's homestate. The bulb stamps also represented her Dutch heritage, and the remaining stamps complemented the pink color palette and romantic feel.
The invitations were letterpress printed on 220 lb. cotton paper in soft purple and gray inks. The reply postcards and information card were digitally printed on 110 lb. cotton paper in soft purple, pink, and gray inks. The outer envelopes were kraft with liners digitally printed on soft pink cotton paper.
Take a moment to see photos of Bri & Grant's gorgeous wedding on a slideshow by their photographer Eric Laurtis. It was such a beautiful day!!

After seeing at these letterpress wedding invitations, I think that these must be the world's best letterpress wedding invitations with perfect sense of style and elegance.

Great post. I just read another post about how popular letterpress invitations are now a days. A little birdie told me that my boyfriend was planning on proposing soon so I have been looking up affordable wedding invitation sets and guest books. I really love the letterpress idea, it gives a nice touch of class and elegance. Thanks so much for sharing.
