One Fine Day - Vogue Wedding Guide

The annual Vogue.com 2012 Wedding Guide came out this week, and I was asked to create a custom designed wedding menu for the Country wedding.  Yes, Vogue!!  I was beyond excited and so honored to even be considered.  Looking through the guide I cannot believe the company I am in - Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Miu Miu, Nicolette Camile Floral Design...Parrott Design Studio!

For the menu design, the editors wanted something that was romantic with a country feel, inspired by fluffy garden flowers and vintage linens.  The menu was letterpress printed on 100% receclyed kraft chipboard with navy blue ink.  The gorgeous calligraphy was done by Grace Edmands.

Martha Stewart Weddings - Real Weddings Special Issue

I am SO excited to FINALLY announce Parrott Design Studio is featured in the new Martha Stewart Weddings Real Weddings Special issue, on newsstands now!

The stationery story was about letting the seasons inspire your wedding stationery.  Parrott Design Studio was included in Summer with the reception card and RSVP from the Rachel Collection.  I custom printed the pieces in pretty peach hue just for the article and love how it came out.

It is pretty surreal to see my work and my studio's name in Martha Stewart Weddings.  It's crazy, actually!!  I am so honored to be included, and to be surrounded by so many other talented designers.

Tomorrow I will share the whole Rachel Collection, as well as the inspiration behind the design.

Happy Weekend + a bit of News

It has been a busy week of printing with four invitation suites down and two more to go.  I am looking forward to Sunday! 

I received a happy bit of news that three of my invitation suites were chosen to be included in the new Martha Stewart Weddings stationery galleries online.

Winter Snowflake Wedding Invitations

Happy Monday!  I am excited to share that a recent wedding invitation I designed & printed is featured on Oh So Beautiful Paper today.  I worked with the couple, Charlotte & Erik, on their winter-inspired save the dates, wedding invitations, ceremony programs, & dinner menus.  Be sure to check out OSBP for even more photos of the invitations!

The save the dates were designed as bookmarks, complete with a fun pink tassel.  They were one of the last pieces I gocco screen printed before I retired the gocco & were printed with shimmery silver ink & sage green ink with pink envelopes.

The invitation suite, which included the invitation, RSVP postcard, small information card, & outer envelope, along with the program cover & menus were all letterpress printed with the snowflakes in a blind deboss {no ink} & soft gray ink.  The invitation included three colors - the blind deboss snowflake, script in a soft pink ink, & the text in gray.  The envelopes were calligraphed by the talented Michele of Meant to be Calligraphy.
