This is a very late Friday post for me, but I am taking a break from finally catching up on shop orders & getting ready for the Providence Open Market tomorrow.  I did not have a chance to be on the press yesterday, nor did I actually have time to print anything new for my shop's pre-birthday week.  Oh well.  Post-birthday celebration?  I think so.

Today I have tape on the mind for a Friday Find.  I recieved two new rolls from Fred Flare today & it is so much fun!

All the orders I sent out today have love tape on them!  The brand is Pop tape & you can buy different designs here. 

 

The lace tape is a favorite of mine & I use the white lace on most of my packages I send out.  I love how it looks on kraft paper. 

 

Cram cream also has adorable tape!  You can find a lot of it on ebay.  I found these cute ones here.

I am hoping for a nice day tomorrow followed by a super productive printing day on Sunday.  Here's to a working weekend!

Found in a Nest

Well.  I am still working on that sewing project.  So that little peek will have to wait until after the weekend. 

My new nest is in a bit of disarray.  I could not find a certain book I was looking for {that I decided I had to find at 11pm} last night.  As Rich kindly pointed out, it was not necessary for any of the work I should be doing. 

Here are some prettier {& significantly smaller, therefore easier to keep clean} nests I have found on this cloudy Friday.

A fleeting abundance.  The lilacs are now fully blooming in my yard since a few days ago.  I find myself dreaming about them all the time - their smell & luscious colors {I admittedly love purple}.

To keep me dreaming about lilacs are recent finds from MSL. 

A centerpiece overlowing with lilacs! The one on the right includes roses in the shades of lilac as well as succulents.  Love.

Shells - the flowers of the sea, & fluttery purple orchids {another flower often on my mind}.

Well I believe this week was very flowery & very purple.  Let us see if I cannot have something to show for all this inspiration next week.  Happy weekend.  I am about to dash off into the rain!

This past week I have had poppies on my mind.  I planted some poppy seeds last weekend & I am patienly waiting for them to sprout.  I tried to grow them last year, but the hot sun on my uncovered porch got to them first {now I have a covered porch}.  I am in hopes I will have some beautiful orange poppies like the ones on my stationery!

I also printed bright orange poppy invitations this week for a couple have two wedding celebrations.  One celebration is being held in California.  The other in Maine!  You may check out the Maine invitation here.   

For some poppy inspiration I looking at these little lovelies from Foundling.  Each poppy is handmade with vintage, found, recycled or repurposed materials.  They can be little corsages or decoration for you hair.  So pretty & elegant! 

Rich & I picked up another letterpress acquisition for my studio - not another press, but a very large accessory!  I will share tomorrow.  Happy Sunday!

Hi!  Friday's tend to slip by me as I am usually trying to finish things I have been putting off since Monday.  In an effort to pop into this space on Fridays I thought I would share things I have found throughout the week.  I am usually talking about paper & my own work & now I can share some things that inspire me.

I am so taken by Reiter8's bags & pillows made of sailboat sails that have been rescued from the landfill & upcycled. 

The design is striking!  I love bold, colorful typography against a white background.  I am naturally drawn to the "S" & no. 9 is a favorite. 

I am in my studio :: a l l  d a y:: today.  I worked 14 long hours at my event planning job last Saturday & now I have Friday & Monday off {p.s. the event went well & raised much needed funding for the non-profit I work for}.
