Front Porch Inspiration

Happy Friday!  Even though I am in the midst of wedding season and busy designing and printing invitations, I have been dreaming up a front porch re-do for my husband and I to enjoy.  His birthday is tomorrow and as a surprise, I decided to redecorate!  I was inspired by Danny Seo's porch featured in the recent This Old House {one of my favorite magazines!} and put together an inspiration board.

I put everything together this week while my husband was away for work and surprised him yesterday.  He loved it!  I will share some {very sad} before photos and the after next week!  And of course I have some lovely invitation suites I have been working on as well.

Scenes from the Weekend

I have been trying to work less & do more "weekend things" on the weekends.  My husband, Rich, & I have been busy working on our 1930s bungalow.  From building a new kitchen island to moving our bedroom to a new room, painting walls to staining tables, picking peonies from our garden to sneaking in some work {me!}, we have been busy!  We are also fostering the most adorable lab/hound mix, Macey, whose silly-cute face you see at the bottom.  She is the loveiest thing & looking for her forever home!

I love the organic shapes & playful color palette of artist Asya Palatova's handcrafted porcelain pieces.  With botanic & typographic touches, her pieces are both beautiful & functional.
