Rustic Boutonnieres

We love these two boutonnieres, especially the one with the little mushrooms.  I plan on making the boutonnieres for Rich, his groomsmen, our fathers, & my pepere.  It will be a fun project that I will also be able to complete ahead of time.  Now I just need to keep my eyes on the ground for acorns & pinecones!

Excuse the pun, but it was the second thought that popped into my head when I saw the boutonnieres by Fritts Rosenow.  My first thought was, "oh-my-goodness-the-gardening-one-is-so-perfect-for-Rich-ahhh!-look-at-the-nest-&-egg-one-ahh-so-cute!!!"  Then I breathed.  I have not thought much about the boutonneires & figured they would be made of flowers, possibly acorns with oak leaves, or even a pinecone.  But these really reflect two of Rich's favorite pastimes - birding & gardening.  Ultimately he will decide because, you know....he is the one wearing it!
