You may remember Ali & Ian from their Save the Dates. Ali, aka Miss Cowboy Boot, is planning a rustic, elegant wedding in Colorado this fall. Ian is an artist & drew the horse for the save the dates, which I incorporated into the invitation design by using it on the main return address on the envelope & the hang tag. The invitations featured two swallows in flight. Swallows mate for life & I think they are a perfect motif for wedding invitations {they are also my favorite birds}. For the RSVPs Ian drew an amazing barn & fence & I added the little swallows to continue the theme. Some of the invitations included an invitation to the rehearsal dinner which featured the always-lovely peony. Ali loves peonies, but they are not in season for her wedding so we decided a peony on paper is the next best thing. The final piece of the suite is the map, also drawn by Ian, featuring various landmarks surrounding the wedding location. I designed the frame around the map, adding a few western touches along with the little heart. The maps were goccoed on to 14 x 14" handkerchiefs, which I then pressed & folded to 5 x 7" so they would fit right behind the invitations {yes, I will iron for your wedding invitations...in fact, I quite enjoy ironing}. The maps are so cute!
Everything was tied together with a thin piece of raffia ribbon & hang tag. The hang tag is the smallest piece of paper I have ever printed - 1 x 2"! But the gocco handled the text which included their wedding date, names, & wedding website. All of the pieces were printed with the gocco using brown, peachy-pink, & matte gold inks on 100% cotton Lettra paper in Pearl with coordinating envelopes. Everything came out fantastic & I am so please with this entire suite. Ali & Ian are an incrediably thoughtful & talented couple & their wedding stationery suite really shows it.
Handkerchief maps? That is genius! =)

Hello. They are pretty. May I ask what font was used for the groom and brides' name? I like the script font. Thanks.

Yee-haw! A wedding at a ranch seems like a great event. When you think about all that space and all the nature around you, it's quite easy to imagine romantic thoughts when you're faced with a moment like that. The invitations look very nice too, and it shows a nice morsel of what is to come in that ranch wedding.
