Hello everyone! I thought I would share a few recent invitations. I usually dedicate a whole post to a single invitation, but I need to do some catching up over here!
For this baby shower invitation, the client wanted a more modern & clean look for a nursey rhyme themed shower. I created a custom illustration of a cow jumping over the moon, using this classic rhyme as inspiration. I used bold colors to keep the invitation modern plus the mom-to-be is having a boy! These came out just adorable. The invitations were gocco screenprinted on a smooth 110lb stock using deep yellow & navy inks, along with pink, green, and coral for the name.
Here is the latest interpretation of one of my favorite invitations to design - the pink peony wedding. I absolutely love the bright pink ink paired with navy ink. And how about the envelope? If I received that in the mail I would go! The invitations were gocco screenprinted on a smooth 110lb stock with pink & navy inks.
I had to save these for last because they require a bit of explanation. So, a fish, huh? Not just any fish, though! It is a coelacanth. These lung fish were thought to be extinct since the end of the Cretaceous period until they were discovered off the east coast of South Africa in 1938 {I know, I felt like I was back in elementary school learning about dinosaurs when I did this research}. Okay, back to the invitations. The couple wanted to have a coelacanth on their invitations because they both share the dream of someday visting Madagascar to see this fish. It is one of the first things they learned about eachother & after they did, they knew they were meant to be. So cute, right? There is a foot for every shoe... The invitations were gocco screenprinted on a smooth 110lb stock with blue & green inks.
Well, I feel like the last few weeks have been busy & productive, yet I have very little to show for it. Isn't that they way sometimes? I do have a couple more wedding invitations to share with you before the end of the week though. Until then...
So cool, especially those last invitations. I've always wanted a gocco printer, but can't seem to justify buying one.
