It is no secret I love simple, elegant design with rustic or whimsical touch. I especially love incorporating calligraphy & hand-drawn illustrations into invitations. Lauren, the bride, came to me inspired by a previous wedding invitation I designed around Betsy Dunlap's calligraphy. Lauren commissioned Betsy to calligraph their names as well as "RSVP." I was excited to once again have the opportunity to work with Betsy! The invitations were letterpress printed in a beautiful, warm gray on 100% cotton Lettra paper in white. The envelopes were a coordinating white & lined with more of that beautifully patterned paper which compliments Betsy's calligraphy so well.
The suite included the invitation, RSVP postcard, & a small information card with the couple's website. I really encourage couples to have a separate card for their website information. Including it on the RSVP may seem like a good idea, until the guest sends the RSVP back to you & are left without the website! Printing the website on a small tag, like a recent invitation I shared, is also a great option & helps keep pieces of the suite together in the envelope.
Betsey Dunlap has such a distinctive hand! Must be so fun getting to work with other creative vendors.
